Who is Terex® Vecoplan?
In this case, it is a collaboration between the two companies Terex® Environmental Equipment and Vecoplan AG. Terex® Environmental Equipment, based in Liverpool and New York, is one of the leading manufacturers of machinery for wood processing, biomass and recycling. Vecoplan AG, headquartered in Bad Marienberg, Germany, develops, produces and sells machines and systems for shredding, conveying and processing primary and secondary raw materials in the production and recycling cycle.
The cooperation project: the mobile shredder TDS V20
During the development of the mobile shredder TDS V20, Terex® Environmental Equipment needed a shredding solution that could be implemented for different feed materials, specifically: waste wood, biomass, household and commercial waste, plastics.The required technology had to be as robust as it was powerful and ensure high throughput for a medium-speed shredder and high availability for shredding specialists Vecoplan. The first step was to adapt the shredding unit to the dimensions specified by Terex®. This was followed by expert advice on the subject of shredding, detailed coordination of the shredding unit and the implementation of a pilot project.
The TDS V20 is a medium-speed twin-shaft shredder, equipped with classifying screens and a system to protect against contaminants. By achieving the desired product size precisely in just one step, users can benefit from significant time and fuel savings. Depending on the task, the flexible TDS V20 can be used as a primary or secondary shredder. Its highly user-friendly control interface comes with pre-installed programs. The TDS V20 is a very good solution for processing demanding materials such as wood, green, household and industrial waste, and especially for the production of refuse derived fuels.
