This X-variation stator knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard version in most areas of application. Therefore, it has a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

Cutting tools of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

When fitting the stator knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
