In the X-version, this rotor knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variation in most break down applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a balanced relationship between insensitivity to wear and toughness simultaneously.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the service life of the rotor knife.

We emphasise that this variant should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the rotor knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
