This component presented is made of tool steel in the X-variant, which is our standard version for most application areas. The hardness of this knife is in the medium range.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

In this option, the cutting tools are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the knife wears homogenously over its lifespan.

However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the components. Consequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
