The X-variant of this component is made of tool steel. The cutting tool has a medium hardness and lays between the W- and Y-versions.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the lifetime of the counter knife.

We highlight that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the counter knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

This item is suitable for knives and also cutters with the length and width of 172mm. With regard to the diverse range of models, further configuration options can be realised.

When fitting the counter knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
