Cutting performance and durability:

The performance of the component depends chiefly on the version of the material and cutting geometry.

Knifes in this W-variant are 5% softer in comparison to the X-option and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. This spare is produced out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it applicable for demanding application areas. However this variation has a shorter lifespan.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the service life of the knife.

We emphasise that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

The dimensions of this cutting tool are 195mm in length, 56mm in width and 28mm in height.
