Cutting performance and durability:
The performance of the component depends predominantly on the version of the material and cutting shape.
This X-option cutter is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard variant in most areas of application. Consequently, it has a medium hardness.
This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.
Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the tool life of the cutter.
To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is crucial not to armour or weld on this type, as it will seriously weaken the structure.
Fastening in the machine:
For installing, the cutter has a drilling for M12 threads.
It is imperative that the cutter is only affixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with flat supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
