This cutter can be combined with the Vecoplan VAZ, Vecoplan VAZ 2000, and Vecoplan VVZ models from the producer Vecoplan.
Cutting performance and durability:
The spare part can be customised to the area of application, depending on the various materials and the variance in cutting geometry.
The W-variation is manufactured from alloyed tool steel. The cutter in this option is approx. 5 % softer than the X-variant, which leads to a shorter tool life but at the same time it is less breakable. Cutters of this version are used when the contact surface is no longer in an accurate fit or when the input material contains impurities.
Components of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life span.
However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the cutting tools. Consequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
Fastening in the machine:
It is imperative that the cutter is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with intact supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
