In the X-version, this stator knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variation in most break down applications. It is identified by a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Items of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.

However, this option must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the products. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
