This spare part is perfectly fitting for cutting millses and granulators from Hosokawa Alpine AG.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

Through the use of different materials and varying the shape, the component can be matched to the break down application in terms of throughput and longevity.

Due to the alloyed tool steel of the Y-option, it is approx. 5 % harder than the X-version. This means that a longer tool life can be secured. In comparison, however, the stator knife is more susceptible to impurities, which can lead to fractures more quickly.

Components of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.

However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the components. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

 

Fastening in the machine:

It is imperative that the stator knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with intact supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
