The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the knife life can be influenced by the material and the shape. This means that the efficiency can be well configured to the input material.

This X-option stator knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard version in most application scenarios. Consequently, it has a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between insensitivity to wear and toughness.

Items of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life cycle.

We emphasise that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the stator knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
