The spare part shown is made of tool steel in the X-variant, which is our standard option for most areas of application. The hardness of this stator knife is in the medium range.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the service life of the stator knife.

Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

When installing the stator knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
