Here you are offered a balanced relationship between insensitivity to wear and toughness simultaneously.
Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the tool life of the stator knife.
Hardfacing or welding on this variant should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
