The cutting tool shown is made of tool steel in the X-version, which is our standard variation for most areas of application. The hardness of this stator knife is in the medium range.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the lifetime of the stator knife.

However, this option must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the products. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
