Cutting performance and durability:
The wear behaviour and thus also the lifetime of the product can be impacted by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the efficiency can be well adjusted to the application area.
Due to the alloyed tool steel of the Y-version, it is approx. 5 % harder than the X-option. This means that a longer knife life can be secured. In comparison, however, the stator knife is more predisposed to impurities, which can lead to fractures more quickly.
Items of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.
Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

The measurements of the product are 510mm in length, 78mm in width and 22mm in height.
Its cutting edge is inclined at 80°.
As the stator knife is part of our Eco Line, this cutting tool is a cost-efficient alternative to the Premium Line.
