This stator knife is suitable for cutting millses and granulators from Herbold Meckesheim.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The wear behaviour and thus also the lifetime of the product can be impacted by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the performance can be well adjusted to the application.

Due to the alloyed tool steel of the Y-version, it is approx. 5 % harder than the X-option. This means that a longer operating time can be secured. In comparison, however, the stator knife is more susceptible to impurities, which can lead to fractures more quickly.

Cutting tools of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its tool life.

Hardfacing or welding on this variant should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
