Compatibility with machines:
This stator knife can be used with the Herbold SML machine manufactured by Herbold Meckesheim.
Cutting performance and durability:
The wear behaviour and thus also the lifetime of the product can be influenced by the material and the shape. This means that the efficiency can be well adapted to the input.
The product presented is made of tool steel in the X-option, which is our standard variation for most application areas. The hardness of this stator knife is in the medium range.
Here you are offered a balanced relationship between resistance to wear and toughness simultaneously.
Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the service life of the stator knife.
However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the cutting tools. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
Fastening in the machine:
When attaching, please also ensure that the support of the knives is in an intact condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
