This item is excellently applicable for cutting millses and granulators from Hosokawa Alpine AG.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The shape and the material used for constructing have a considerable impact on the resistance and lifetime of the product.

Due to the alloyed tool steel of the Y-variant, it is approx. 5 % harder than the X-option. This means that a longer tool life can be secured. In comparison, however, the stator knife is more predisposed to impurities, which can lead to breakage more quickly.

Cutting tools of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life span.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is crucial not to armour or weld on this type, as it will acutely weaken the structure.

 

Fastening in the machine:

It is imperative that the stator knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with intact supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

 

General characteristics:

The measures of the stator knife are 320mm long, 30mm wide and 28mm high.
