The wear behaviour and thus also the knife life can be influenced by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the performance can be well configured to the break down application.

In the X-variation, the stator knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard option in most applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a good compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

In this version, the cutting tools are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the stator knife wears evenly over its lifetime.

However, this variant must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively influences the structure of the components. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
