Through the use of particular materials and the variance in the cutting shape, the product can be customised to the break down application in terms of throughput and service life.

The X-option of this component is made of tool steel. The variant has a medium hardness and lays between the W- and Y-variants.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

Cutting tools of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life cycle.

However, this variant must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the items. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

 

Fastening in the machine:

It is imperative that the stator knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with ideal supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
