The W9-variant wears more rapidly than the X-variation, but also has increased toughness and is resistant to impurities. However, the hardness of the W9-version is lower than that of the X-option.

Spare parts of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of components of this version, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally impaired. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.
