The X-option of this spare part is made of tool steel. This variant has a medium hardness and lays between the W- and Y-variants.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the tool life of the rotor knife.

Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

It is imperative that the rotor knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with flat supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

This rotor knife is 568mm long, 100mm wide and 22mm high.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 50°.
