Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the tool life of the rotor knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of spare parts of this option, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

 

Fastening in the machine:

When installing the rotor knife, please assure that it is only fitted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
