Comparatively, the W9-variation wears more rapidly than the X-variant due to its lower hardness. Also the insensitivity to impurities and the high toughness of the W9-option is a notable feature compared to the X-version.
In this version, the products are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears consistently over its lifespan.
We emphasise that this option should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the rotor knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
