This component shown is made of tool steel in the X-version, which is our standard variation for most operational scenarios. The hardness of this rotor knife is in the medium range.

Here you are offered a balanced relationship between insensitivity to wear and toughness simultaneously.

Items of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.

We underline that this variant should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the rotor knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

When installing the rotor knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
