Compatibility with machines:

This cutting tool is perfectly applicable for cutting millses from Reto Recycling.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The cutting shape and the material used for constructing have a significant effect on the insensitivity and service life.

In the Y-version, this component is made of alloyed tool steel. The rotor knife in this variant is approx. 5% harder than the X-option, which results in a longer longevity. However, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.

Items of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its tool life.

We emphasise that this variant should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the rotor knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

When attaching, please also assure that the support of the knives is in an undamaged condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
