Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the tool life of the rotor knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of components of this variation, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally weakened. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

When installing the rotor knife, please assure that it is only attached to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.
