Cutting performance and durability:

Through the use of particular materials and varying the shape, the cutting tool can be adjusted to the break down application in terms of throughput and durability.

This X-variation rotor knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard variant in most break down applications. Consequently, it has a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures consistent wear over the lifetime of the rotor knife.

However, this version must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the cutting tools. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

It is imperative that the rotor knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with ideal supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

 

General characteristics:

The measures of this component are 210mm in length, 90mm in width and 16mm in height.

The inclination of the cutting edge is 7°/50°.
