Cutting performance and durability:

The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the lifespan can be influenced by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the performance can be well customised to the application area.

Knives in this W-version are 5% softer in comparison to the X-option and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. This spare part is produced out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it perfect for demanding areas of applications. However this variation has a shorter tool lifespan.

Components of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.

Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be seriously weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted right on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

When attaching the rotor knife, please assure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with an ideal contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.

 

General characteristics:

The rotor knife is 190mm long, 57mm wide and 14mm high.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 45°.

As the rotor knife is part of our Eco Line, this cutting tool is a cost-efficient alternative to the Premium Line.
