This product shown is made of tool steel in the X-variant, which is our standard version for most application areas. The hardness of this rotor knife is in the medium range.
Here you are offered a good compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.
Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the service life of the rotor knife.
Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be seriously weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
Fastening in the machine:
The rotor knife is mounted centered on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.
When installing, please also assure that the support of the knives is in an undamaged condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
