The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the lifespan can be influenced by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the efficiency can be well adjusted to the break down application.

The rotor knife is made of tool steel and is thus assigned to our X-option, which is the standard variant in most areas of application.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

Products of this version are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its tool life.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will significantly weaken the structure.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

It is imperative that the rotor knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with flat supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

The inclination of the cutting edge is 18°/30°.
