Compatibility with machines:

The rotor knife can be used with the cutting mills of the Reto Recycling company.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

Through the use of particular materials and the variance in the cutting geometry, the product can be customised to the application area in terms of throughput and lifespan.

Due to the alloyed tool steel of the Y-option, it is approx. 5 % harder than the X-version. This means that a longer tool life can be secured. In comparison, however, the rotor knife is more predisposed to impurities, which can lead to fractures more quickly.

Spare parts of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.

However, this variant must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the items. Subsequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

When attaching, please also assure that the support of the knives is in an ideal condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 60°/70°.

As this rotor knife belongs to the Premium Line, the item is produced exclusively in Germany.
