Compatibility with machines:

This cutting tool is perfectly fitting for cutting millses from Reto Recycling.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a considerable impact on the resistance and lifespan.

Due to the alloyed tool steel of the Y-version, it is approx. 5 % harder than the X-variant. This means that a longer knife life can be secured. In comparison, however, the rotor knife is more susceptible to impurities, which can lead to fractures more quickly.

Products of this option are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its tool life.

Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be significantly weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

When installing the rotor knife, please ensure that it is only fixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface, as otherwise breakage may occur.

 

General characteristics:

The measures of the rotor knife are 334mm long, 79mm wide and 20mm high.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 60°/70°.

This favourable variant in comparison to our Premium Line is part of the Eco Line.
