Compatibility with machines:

This rotor knife can be installed in the cutting mills of the Hosokawa Alpine AG company.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the lifetime of the product can be influenced by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the efficiency can be well adapted to the application scenario.

The rotor knife is made of tool steel and is thus assigned to our X-version, which is the standard variation in most break down applications.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the service life of the rotor knife.

We emphasise that this option should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative impact on the material structure of the rotor knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

When fitting the rotor knife, please ensure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.

 

General characteristics:

The dimensions of the rotor knife are 210mm long, 90mm wide and 16mm high.

The inclination of the cutting edge is 7°/50°.

As this rotor knife belongs to our Premium Line, the product comes exclusively from German production.
