For cutting millses by the manufacturer Hosokawa Alpine AG the rotor knife is ideally applicable.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The cutting shape and the material used for constructing have a significant influence on the resistance and product lifespan.

In the Y-version, this product is made of alloyed tool steel. The rotor knife in this variation is approx. 5% harder than the X-option, which results in a longer durability. Nonetheless, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.

Products of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains persistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is even in relation to its life span.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is important not to armour or weld on this type, as it will fundamentally weaken the structure.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of the set can be found under the accessories.

When installing, please also assure that the support of the knives is in an intact condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
