Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures persistent wear over the tool life of the rotor knife.

Hardfacing or welding on this variant should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

When installing the rotor knife, please assure that it is only fitted to knife holders or knife crossbars with a flat contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
