Compatibility with machines:

The rotor knife can be installed in the cutting mills of the Dreher Maschinenbau brand.

 

Cutting performance and durability:

The cutting geometry and the material used for constructing have a considerable effect on the resistance and durability.

This alloyed tool steel is 5 % softer than the X-variant and is therefore less susceptible to fractures. This makes this W-version suitable for utilizations where impurities are present in the input. In return, however, this variation has a shorter operating time.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a consistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures uniform wear over the service life of the rotor knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of products of this option, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. Consequently, breakage and machine damage may occur.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

It is imperative that the rotor knife is only installed to knife holders or knife crossbars with intact supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.

 

General characteristics:

The measurements of this cutting tool are 190mm in length, 57mm in width and 14mm in height.

The inclination of the cutting edge is 45°.
