Cutting performance and durability:

The wear and tear behaviour and thus also the knife life can be impacted by the material and the cutting geometry. This means that the efficiency can be well customised to the input material.

The cutting tool presented is made of tool steel in the X-version, which is our standard variation for most application areas. The hardness of this rotor knife is in the medium range.

Here we offer you a suitable combination of insensitivity to wear and toughness at the same time.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the lifetime of the rotor knife.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be significantly weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

The rotor knife is mounted left on the cutting device. The other parts of this set can be found under the accessories.

When installing, please also ensure that the support of the knives is in an undamaged condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.

 

General characteristics:

This product measures 190mm in length, 57mm in width and 14mm in height.

The inclination of the cutting edge is 55°/45°.

As the rotor knife is part of our Eco Line, this component is a cost-efficient alternative to the Premium Line.
