This spare part shown is made of tool steel in the X-option, which is our standard variation for most areas of application. The hardness of this rotor knife is in the medium range.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

In this version, the products are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears steadily over its lifetime.

Hardfacing or welding on this variant should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

When attaching, please also assure that the support of the knives is in a flat condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.
