The X-option of this component is made of tool steel. This version has a medium hardness and lays between the W- and Y-versions.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

In this variant, the products are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears steadily over its lifetime.

We underline that this variation should not be armoured or welded on. This has a negative effect on the material structure of the rotor knife, which can subsequently lead to breakage and machine damage.
