Items of this variant are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains consistent from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life cycle.

Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be significantly weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

 

Fastening in the machine:

When installing the rotor knife, please assure that it is only applied to knife holders or knife crossbars with an undamaged contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
