In the X-option, this rotor knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variant in most applications. It is identified by a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear insensitivity in a balanced ratio.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the tool life of the rotor knife.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is crucial not to armour or weld on this type, as it will severely weaken the structure.

The rotor knife is 70mm long, 50mm wide and 15mm high.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 60°/45°.
