Cutting performance and durability:

The performance of the product depends chiefly on the variation of the material and cutting shape.

Due to the alloyed tool steel of the Y-version, it is approx. 5 % harder than the X-option. This means that a longer tool life can be secured. In comparison, however, the rotor knife is more susceptible to impurities, which can lead to fractures more quickly.

In this variant, the components are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears homogenously over its lifetime.

To avoid breakage and machine damage, it is crucial not to armour or weld on this type, as it will fundamentally weaken the structure.

 

General characteristics:

The measures of the cutting tool are 58mm in length, 38mm in width and 24.5mm in height.

Its cutting edge is inclined at R150/30°/45°.

This favourable version in comparison to our Premium Line is part of the Eco Line.
