In the X-variant, the rotor knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variation in most applications. It is characterised by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a beneficial compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

In this option, the items are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears homogenously over its lifetime.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of spare parts of this version, as the structure will otherwise be fundamentally impaired. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.

Fastening in the machine:

When attaching the rotor knife, please ensure that it is only fitted to knife holders or knife crossbars with an intact contact surface in order to prevent breakage.
