Knives in this W-version are 5% softer in comparison to the X-variation and have a lower susceptibility to impurities. This product is manufactured out of alloyed tool steel, which makes it perfect for demanding application scenarios. However this option has a shorter tool lifespan.

In this variant, the products are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears evenly over its lifetime.

Hardfacing or welding on this version should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

Fastening in the machine:

It is imperative that the rotor knife is only affixed to knife holders or knife crossbars with ideal supports, as otherwise the attachment may cause breakage.
