In the X-variation, the rotor knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variant in most applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a good compromise between resistance to wear and toughness.

In this version, the items are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears evenly over its lifespan.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be acutely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
