This X-option rotor knife is made of tool steel and corresponds to the standard version in most application areas. Therefore, it has a medium hardness.

This combines both toughness and wear resistance in a balanced ratio.

In this variant, the cutting tools are hardened from the edge layer to the core. This means that the rotor knife wears homogenously over its lifetime.

Hardfacing or welding on this variation should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be severely weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.
