Cutting performance and durability:

The wear behaviour and thus also the lifetime of the product can be impacted by the material and the cutting shape. This means that the performance can be well customised to the break down application.

In the X-variant, the rotor knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard variation in most applications. It is defined by a medium hardness.

Here you are offered a balanced relationship between resistance to wear and toughness simultaneously.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a uniform hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the service life of the rotor knife.

Hardfacing or welding on this option should be avoided, as the structure will otherwise be seriously weakened. This can lead to breakages and machine damage.

The component measures 499mm in length, 68mm in width and 14mm in height.

The inclination of the cutting edge is 45°.
