In the X-variant, the rotor knife is made of tool steel, which is our standard version in most break down applications. It is characterised by a medium hardness.
Here you are offered a balanced relationship between resistance to wear and toughness simultaneously.
Items of this variation are hardened throughout, which means that this hardness remains the same from the edge to the core. Due to that the wear is homogenous in relation to its life span.
However, this option must not be armoured or welded on, as it negatively impacts the structure of the products. Consequently, fractures and machine damage are possible.
