Cutting performance and durability:

The shape and the material used for constructing have a considerable impact on the insensitivity and lifetime of the product.

In the Y-version, this cutting tool is made of alloyed tool steel. The rotor knife in this variation is approx. 5% harder than the X-variant, which results in a longer longevity. Nonetheless, the texture is also more brittle. Due to that it can be more fragile if there is a high level of impurities.

Due to the through-hardening process, there is a persistent hardness from the edge layer to the core. This ensures homogenous wear over the lifetime of the rotor knife.

It is imperative to avoid the welding on or hardfacing of cutting tools of this option, as the structure will otherwise be severely impaired. Therefore, breakage and machine damage may occur.

 

Fastening in the machine:

To fasten the rotor knife, the item to be adapted has a drilling for M14 threads.

When attaching, please also assure that the support of the knives is in an ideal condition, as otherwise breakage may occur.

 

General characteristics:

The measures of the product are 340mm in length, 90mm in width and 25mm in height.

Its cutting edge is inclined at 50°.
